When we seek God wholeheartedly He will reveal Himself to us. One of my favourite verses is Jeremiah 29:13. It says
“You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart”.
When I seek God with all that I’m, I always find Him and I’m never disappointed. If you seek God with all that you are and continually devote yourself to Him you will find Him also, I promise you that for sure.
The bible tells us that if we ask, seek and knock we will find and the door will be opened to us. What God promises is that He will reveal himself to those who continually, humbly and wholeheartedly seek after Him.
1 Chronicles 16:11
“Seek the LORD and His strength; Seek His face continually”.
Sin in particular can discourage us from seeking God but it’s also important to remember that nothing can separates us from God, not even sin.
It can be hard to seek God amongst the busyness of life, but when we make an effort to pray or meditate on His word He reveals Himself to us in ways that we cannot imagine. Prayer will allow us to be in constant communication with Him and meditating on His word will gives us hope. It will gives us a reason to keep fighting for our faith knowing that it’s not all in vain because there will be a great reward.
Seeking God wholeheartedly means that we have to make sacrifices, it may be that you need to cut down the time that you spend watching your favourite programme on TV or it may mean that you need to wake up a little bit earlier for your alone time with God.
All the scarifies that we make for God don’t go unnoticed. We may make sacrifices for people and they may not always remember but God always does, He appreciates it and He will bless you for that.
God longs to hear from you my dear, surrender your all to Him. Draw near to Him and He will draw near to you.
Happy Monday, Hope you have a great week!.
